The rebrand to Altuent reflects the Technically Write IT journey from professional technical writing business, to a business that supports knowledge managers and people managing content and knowledge in enterprise businesses solve their business challenges.

Over the years, we became a trusted partner for some of the world’s leading businesses helping to not only create and translate content but transfer knowledge across their organisation.

It’s a transformation that has taken years and is much more than a shiny new logo and website.

We’d definitely outgrown our Technically Write IT name.

The Story of Technically Write IT: TWi Timeline

As you’ll see from the timeline below, we’ve long been investing in growing our capabilities. This isn’t a reactive rebrand. Altuent is a true business evolution and the obvious next step for us.

2011
  • Technically Write IT (TWi) begins as a small team of ambitious writers supporting SAP with technical documentation founded by Patrice Fanning.
2013
  • Technically Write IT moves office to Carrigaline and Altuent is still based there today.
2014
  • Technically Write IT grows to 40 technical writers, supporting SAP with a structured content DITA migration.
2015
  • Technically Write IT rebrands to TWi.
2016
  • Brian O’Neill becomes CEO of Technically Write IT.
2017
  • Brian O’Neill and Emmet Kearney complete a management buy-out and set TWi on a new course.
  • The business repositions as a beacon of innovation in the technical writing space.
  • A new User Adoption service offering is created.
  • TWi begins developing SAP Enable Now simulations for SAP.
2018
  • TWi is awarded ISO 27001:2013 certification.
2019
  • TWi launches an eLearning service to help global businesses transfer internal knowledge, with a particular focus on driving end-user adoption of enterprise software, such as SAP.
  • TWi begins to work with Amazon.
2020
  • Through the acquisition of Nova Language Solutions Ltd., TWi expands its offerings to deliver market-leading translation services to global clients.
  • Provides end-to-end translation and localization to existing technical writing and user adoption clients.
  • TWi is awarded SAP Enable Now consultant certification.
  • TWi invests in company transformation:
    • Toni Ressaire joins TWi as Innovation Director.
    • TWi invests in AI training, AI development as using AI as a tool in translation.
2021
  • TWi lead first consulting project.
  • TWi leads  first project with an SAP client – Glanbia.
2022
  • TWi begins to work with SAP customers on multilingual SAP Enable Now User Adoption content.
  • TWi develops Consulting methodologies and carries out client projects.
2023
  • Responding to client demands to solve bigger content related problems, TWi establishes a Consulting offering.
2024
  • Rahel Anne Bailie joins TWi as Content Solution Director and to lead the consulting business unit.
  • TWi becomes a certified Language Service Partner under the SAP PartnerEdge programme.
  • TWi is awarded ISO 27001:2022 certification.
2025
  • Emmet Kearney becomes CEO of TWi as Brian O’Neill steps up to become Chairman of the Board.
  • TWi rebrands to Altuent, reflecting the transformation from a technical writing firm into a strategic content consultancy, addressing the modern content challenges of the AI era.
  • Altuent launches new AI-ready data service offering. Enabling clients to embrace AI and Intelligent Content.
